Celtic Settlement of Sedlo

A beautiful view of the Bohemian inland can be seen from the top of a woody hill, 902m above sea level. Celtic builders were attracted to this hilltop a long time ago. One of the largest and highest primeval settlements was built here, which lost its importance over time. The first building on Sedlo was a military look-out which later became a tourist viewing point and  crashed down many years later. Recently, this beautiful spot with an outstanding view of the Šumava skyline is often visited by tourists. Following the appeals for the rebuilding of the tower, the Association of Renewal of the Sedlo Observation Tower has been founded. You can join the association and help with the renewal of the observation tower, which will surely become a new tourist attraction in this beautiful region.
